Paul Seid
Chairman & Chief Executive Officer
Paul Seid is a successful executive and entrepreneur. Mr. Seid most recently served as President of Sultan Healthcare for 36 years. Sultan Healthcare is a well-known U.S. dental consumable manufacturer recognized primarily for infection control products, dental materials and preventive products. Mr. Seid has served as President of the Dental Manufacturers of America as the only two-term President in the last thirty years. Mr. Seid is a Former Chairman of the Board of the Las Vegas Institute which is the largest private dental training facility in the world. Mr. Seid has also sat on numerous Bank and Advisory Committees. He is also a Board Member of Bioventrix, a pioneer of technologies and procedures for the less-invasive treatment of heart failure. Throughout his career, Mr. Seid has bought, sold, or established 15-20 companies on 3 Continents. He is currently an operation principal of Paladin Holdings LLC.
Lawrence Zelner
President
Lawrence Zelner holds the degree of BS in Mechanical Engineering from the Polytechnic Institute of New York. He has served in the healthcare field in the capacity of management consultant for over 30 years and he has been engaged in consulting assignments for more than 100 hospitals, IDNs and Corporate clients. During the early years of his career he was employed by several Fortune 500 companies where he participated in the planning and implementation of large scale manufacturing automation and construction projects.
As a consultant in the healthcare field, his experience covers a broad range of projects involved with planning for replacement or renovation of various types of special care department facilities and other areas of the hospital. In this capacity he has worked closely with hospitals and their architects and engineers to implement innovative yet practical approaches to configuration, communications, transportation and infrastructure support systems. A particular focus throughout his career he has been facilities planning and systems design for numerous Surgical and Sterile Processing Departments.
His most recent experience includes several studies in the areas of feasibility, planning and implementation of off-site sterile processing facilities, as well as the development and management of sterile processing outsourcing contracts. He has also participated in the development and installation of automated data systems for surgical and sterile processing department management, as well as surgical cost reduction and productivity improvement studies.
Braun C. Kiess
Chief Financial Officer
Braun C. Kiess is a successful financial executive, serial entrepreneur, and educator. With over 13 years of experience in a diverse range of industries, Mr. Kiess spent 2 years (2008-2010) with The BEST (Business, Engineering, Science and Technology) Institute of Rutgers University as an Entrepreneur-in-Residence. While at BEST Mr. Kiess worked closely with university researchers and the institute’s directors to help commercialize Rutgers’ Intellectual Property.
Mr. Kiess sits on multiple corporate Boards, and is an Adjunct Professor of Finance at Rutgers Business School, where his courses include Evaluating New Business Ventures, Venture Capital Analysis and Managing Growing Ventures, at both the undergraduate and graduate level. In addition to being a member of the Rutgers faculty, Mr. Kiess is a widely recognized expert on Financial Statement Analysis and Financial Strategy. He is a preferred instructor for the Rutgers University Center for Management Development’s executive education programs.
Mr. Kiess regularly consults to Fortune 500 companies and IP-based startups on valuation. He holds a Bachelors of Science degree in Finance (Summa cum Laude) from Rutgers University and has Masters in Business Administration (MBA) degrees from both Columbia Business School and London Business School.
Russell Baker
Chief Engineer
Russell Baker is RST’s chief engineer, responsible for the mechanical design of all of our products. Russell performs material and construction analysis, creates all CAD models, and manages all our suppliers. Mr. Baker is also a skilled machinist. He creates high-fidelity product prototypes in-house and has led the effort to create a world-class fabrication facility at RST. Working in aluminum, plastics, composites, carbon-fiber, or fiberglass, Mr. Baker can rapidly create mockups, prototypes, test articles, or final products — anything we need to bring our products from concept to reality.
Mr. Baker is a graduate of the Columbia University School of Engineering and Applied Science with a BS in Mechanical Engineering. While studying robotics, he designed and built an eight-foot robotic arm for professor Peter Allen of the Computer Science department. The arm was intended to hold an underground scanning radar that could not be near any metal; hence the robot was entirely nonmetallic.
